The Energy Field is created by cutting slits into a very large sheet of black paper that is lit from behind. The marks are based on the scientific drawings depicting lines of force, a "rational" abstraction of an invisible power. I am interested in the way we use visual systems such as scientific drawings in the negotiation that takes place when we are faced with a physical reality that we cannot adequately explain.
